Band Friends Program Info

Overview

Get experience playing in a band! Whether you’ve never played in a band before, or you’re returning to play in the band you’ve played with for years, our Band Friends program facilitates practice playing with other musicians, preparing a set, and performing as a group, for all levels. Most bands meet weekly, with a performance showcase at the end of the semester.

We build bands with intention based on your age, skill, and goals - multi-instrumentalists may be able to swap instruments, instrumentalists who sing may have an opportunity to do both, and some bands will have dedicated lead singers.

This fall, select students will spend the semester focused on writing original music, culminating in 1 professionally recorded song, in lieu of a performance showcase. These bands are asked to commit through May, with the fall focused on original music creation, and the spring focused on traditional set/showcase preparation. Register to tell us your interest in this option!

Sing ‘n Swap Program Info

Overview

This new program is designed specially for singers who play an instrument, and instrumentalists who want to sing! Students will meet for 90 mins each week, splitting time between band rehearsal & group vocal practice.
