Our Accelerated Music Program is for intermediate to advanced students who want a deeper, more well-rounded music education. The program is designed to deep-dive into topics such as music theory, ear training, technique, fundamentals, improvisation, composition, and more.
A.M.P. students are placed in groups with other students at a similar level, following a curriculum created by RSM teachers, bringing a community aspect to create healthy competition and motivation.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Monthly 2 hour Instrument-Specific Group Class (different topics & goals each month with homework spread out within the month and an assessment at the end of the month)
Monthly 1 hour Ear Training / Theory / Sight Singing Group Class
Curriculum & Video Content built specifically by RSM teachers, related to each month’s topics & goals
Assessments (Monthly & End of Semester) - based on Ear Training & Monthly Group Classes
$175 / MONTH
Students must already be enrolled in Weekly Private Lessons & in a Band / Group / Ensemble
for students who aren’t currently involved in a band or ensemble, we can help create a unique project that will allow you to play with others based on your interests and goals. Playing with others is a huge part of being a musician and all AMP students must be doing this in some way.
HOW TO JOIN A.M.P.
The student, parent, and teacher must all agree that this program is right for the student. A.M.P. is a program that requires consistent and dedicated practice and one of the goals of this program is to connect serious students together and create a community that facilitates accelerated growth in each student’s musical journey and within themselves.

Schedule your Placement Assessment (60 minute assessment - $50) Students must take a placement assessment for admittance to the program and to assess their specific strengths & growth opportunities.

We will be expanding the program based on interest and open enrollment on a rolling basis once we have enough students for instrument classes. Filling out an application helps us gauge interest and keep you in the loop on program updates!
Interested in more but not quite ready for A.M.P. ?
For beginner to intermediate students, we offer an affordable Pre-A.M.P. add-on to private lessons for students who are interested in one day joining our AMP Program, or who are just interested in some extra training
Details:
Once per month theory and ear training group class
Classes split up for drummers (taught by Greg) and for melodic instruments (taught by Radha)
Open to any student ages 8-18 who have taken private lessons for at least one year
Does not include the level of supplemental video content & course work as our AMP Program, but also does not require the same level of homework & time commitment outside of the monthly class
$30-$40 per month depending on class duration
